2002 Leslie Deaton-Combs ('02) works for Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing (Erlanger, KY.) as an HR Specialist in Production Engineering. She married John M. Combs of the United States Secret Service in 2004 and they are expecting their first child, a baby boy, in October 2006. Update! (8/23) A little one has just been added to Leslie and John's family (John Alexander Combs)!!! Congrats! Anna Onkst ('02) lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. She spends her time traveling, hiking and climbing mountains, kayaking, and stuff like that. Sounds like a blast, Elisabeth Poulin ('02) Elisabeth Poulin is the Human Resources Manager for Securitas Security Services, USA, Lexington, KY. Tanlee Taulbee ('02) Wasson is the Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Union College, Barbourville, KY. Her primary responsibilities include: the implementation of an ongoing institutional assessment program, which will provide information regarding student learning outcomes to the college community, reporting of institutional data to federal and state agencies, and strategic planning. She is currently working on her PhD at Hofstra University with ABD status. Her dissertation topic examines the effects of task characteristics on group versus individual performance. 2003 Adrienne Bauer (`03) works at Eastern Kentucky University as the Associate Director, HR. Has obtained Facilitation, Mediation, PHR, and DDI trainer certifications. Married to Ryan; just celebrated our 7 year anniversary. Life is good. I hope everyone is well! Jenny Jones ('03) Allen is now the Associate Director of the Equal Opportunity Office at EKU. She got her PHR in 2005. She and husband Eric have two canine kids named Calvin and Hobbes. Lisa Cox ('03) is the Academic Advising Retention Coordinator, EKU. She is currently serving as EKU’s liaison for Project Graduate, a Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education initiative designed to bring adults with 90 plus hours to finish their degree. The response has been overwhelming- please spread the word! Lisa and husband Jim just celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary and keep busy carting around their 8 year old twins Jesse and Jeremy, while just trying to keep tabs on Rachel 15 and Travis 17. Brian Edwards ('03) is a consultant for Accenture National Security Services, Arlington VA. Teresa Hensley Green ('03) is an HR Generalist with Charter Communications in Louisville, KY. Before that she was a Human Resource Consultant with United Family Hospital and Clinics, Beijing & Shanghai, China. She passed the PHR exam last year! Jessica J. Smith ('03) works for the Department of Defense as an Army Aviation Project Management Analyst. Jessica has added to her family! She had a baby boy, Hayden Michael, in September of 2007. Her toy poodle Mia does not know what to think of her "human" little brother. Windy Lane ('03) works with Wright Management as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hyatt Place, Lexington Ky. She got engaged to Josh Curtis in Paris, France last Summer (07) and they will be married October 10, 2008 in Lexington! Congrats to them!!! 2004 Catherine Deehan ('04) works for Toyota Tsusho America (Georgetown, KY.) as a Human Resources Specialist. She is in charge of the HR and training, hiring, of the subsidiary companies of TAI which are ARK, Green Metals, and AT&O in Georgetown, KY, WV, IN, and AL. She is also getting married on 11/11. Stephanie Rosenik ('04) is the Associate Manager of People Development for KFC in Louisville. She oversees a variety of employee selection projects, such as the Hiring Management System and online hiring methods. She also works with Katie Thompson on Yum! foods leadership programs. Katie Thompson ('04) is a Senior Analyst in People Development for Yum! foods, Louisville. Among other things, she works on leadership programs for Yum! (with Stephanie Rosenik). Yum! is the largest restaurant chain in the world, owning Taco Bell, Long John Silvers, KFC, Pizza Hut, and A&W. Christy Henson ('04) DeYoung lives in Lexington and works as the Business Office Manager for Saint Joseph Healthcare. She recently passed the Healthcare Financial Management certification exam. Christy says "Hello!" to everyone. 2005 Amanda Laferty-Baker ('05) is a Human Resources Manager with Gearheart Communications in Harold, Ky. She is married to Paul Baker ('06) school psychology graduate. They now have two little boys! Congrats to them! Amanda is also the Vice President of the Kentucky Coalfields Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter. Bonita Mannings ('05) is a Human Resources Analyst with the Department of Budget and Management, State of Maryland, Baltimore, Md. Holly McCall Williams, ’05, is an Assistant Director for Continuing and Professional Education at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. Holly’s primary job duties are to develop new outreach programs and initiatives for the College of Engineering. These often include workshops, short courses, and large conferences. Holly also manages a portfolio of programs for the Virginia Department of Health to provide continuing education to the state’s waterworks operators. Holly and her husband, Daron, live in Christiansburg, Virginia with their son, Carson McCall Williams, who was born on December 22, 2007. They also still have their pug, Maggie, that they acquired while living in Richmond. Thevee Gray ('05) is now a Personnel Psychologist with the Transportation Security Administration under the Department of Homeland Security in Washington D.C. She also has two cute English Angora bunnies. One of them is below...
Melinda Warrix Combs ('05) is the HR Manager at Mikron Industries, Richmond, KY. She and her husband are expecting a child in January of '09. Jenny Ruark ('05) works as a Human Resources Analyst for the Civil Service division of the Louisville Metro Human Resources Department. She said she is “still holding down the fort for the unwed and childless alumni of the EKU I/O program.” 2006 Corey Bird ('06)Winterton is now a Compensation Analyst with GXS in Gaithersburg, Maryland, just outside of Washington D.C. She says "hello" to everyone. Tamara Thompson ('06) is a Classification and Compensation Analyst with EKU Human Resources Sarah Waiswa ('06) is now the Affirmative Action Coordinator at Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill. Natasha Montgomery ('06) works as a Human Resources Specialist in Recruitment for Louisville Metro Human Resources Department. Life is fantastic and I hope all is well with everyone! Michael Alley ('06) is now a Project Manager for Gap/Banana Republic/Old Navy in Cincinnati, Ohio. ReginaBerry ('06) most recently was working in Human Resources and Wellness at EKU. Regina? Don't disappear, keep us updated! Drew Smith ('06) is now a Business Analyst in Operations Performance Management with Fidelity National in Covington, Kentucky. As part of his job, Drew gets to travel to Boston, Denver, Salt Lake City, Dallas-Fort Worth, and India! 2007 Tamra Casey ('07) is a Human Resources Generalist with L3 Communications, Joint Operations Group, Lexington Kentucky. Tamra recently passed the PHR exam. Amy Jones ('07) is now the Peer Support Coordinator / Independent Living Specialist with the Center For Accessible Living, Louisville, KY. Wes Hunt ('07) is a Compensation Analyst with Mercer Consulting, Louisville, KY. Holly Valentine ('07) is an Account Manager with CBS Personnel, London, KY. Michelle Heindselman ('07) is an HR Generalist at LINAK U.S. Inc, in Louisville, KY. Ron Howard ('07) is an HR Assistant for American Specialty Cars, Lexington KY. Lisa Zabinski ('07) is a Career Consultant with Nissen Staffing Continuum, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI. Faculty Dr. Laura Koppes (00-05) is now the Psychology Department Chair at the University of West Florida. Drs. Steve and Virginia Falkenberg (Some time in the 70's - 07) retired and now live in Texas. Dr. Eric Popp (04-06) is now a consultant with Previsor in Atlanta. Dr. Jaime Henning (07-now) joined us last year. We welcome her to the program! She teaches Organizational Psychology (PSY 873), Organization development (PSY 874), and Professional Concerns (PSY 826). Dr. Palmer (01 to now) bought an old house on main street in Richmond. It was build some time around 1919-1920 and he says it is haunted and cold. Last year a cat gave birth in one of his closets....
