Should EKU Upgrade to Blackboard 9?
Information Technology seeks your input into a decision about upgrading the Blackboard system to "Release 9" this August. This version gives Bb a dramatic facelift while preserving all current features. Instructors will enjoy many new conveniences, after they acclimate themselves to the major relocation of Control Panel links.
If we decide to upgrade for Fall 2009, we will provide assistance and training continuously from May through August, online and on campus, to help instructors prepare for the new system. If we don't upgrade this August, we will wait until Summer 2010.

We have already introduced this question at several departmental meetings. To see what Release 9 offers, come to Case Annex 256 for a 10-minute preview any time between 8 and 11 a.m. or 12:30 and 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, or 8 a.m. and noon or 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1. We expect to make our decision (about upgrading in August 2009) very early in April, so we need to hear from you immediately.
