Internship

  • Internship log (Excel file) - to be completed during internship in order to document hours completed in various activities.
  • Demographics log (Excel file) - to be completed during internship in order to demonstrate working with a diverse student population.
  • Internship Agreement - outlines the required experiences to be completed on internship.
  • Internship Meeting Dates - Fall 2007
    • August 27th
    • September 21st - after KAPS convention banquet
    • October 19th
    • November 16th
    • December 7th
  • Internship Consultation Deadlines
    • Before September 21st
      • E-mail Dr. Hale and briefly describe 2 identified consultation cases. These cases can be academic or behavioral.
    • By October 19th
      • Baseline data is collected and graphed and interventions are implemented (bring a copy of your graph to the internship meeting and also  be prepared to discuss the intervention).
    • By November 16th
      • Continue data collection
    • By December 7th
      • Continue data collection and make sure you have a plan in place for dealing with the possible results of the break relative to the progress being made.
      • It is preferred that you continue your consultation cases throughout the spring semester. If the problem being addressed is one that does not warrant this, you need to talk with Dr. Hale before data collection and the consultation end.
      • Be prepared to discuss your consultation case during internship supervision. If you have questions, be sure to have a copy of your graph with you so the data can be reviewed.
    • Cases are due April 4th.
      • This deadline is not negotiable.
      • If you fail to meet the deadline you will receive an incomplete in the course and your graduation may be delayed.  If you would like to turn the case in earlier you are welcome to do so.  Also, keep in mind that you have to receive a “pass” on your consultation case or you will receive a failing grade for the last semester of internship.
    • A few of you are making up consultation cases that weren’t completed during practicum. These guidelines apply to all cases you are required to turn in.
